Hello,
If my mind is ok, you can setup red5 as follow (for local testing on win XP):
1) Install wamp in a new directory C:\wamp\
2) Create a directory named "red5-server" into C:\wamp\www
3) Download and install TortoiseSVN
4) right-clic on C:\wamp\www\red5-server folder and clic SVNCheckout
5) specifie the url from which red5-server will be downloaded : http://red5.googlecode.com/svn/java/server/trunk
6) install "ant" from the apache software foundation (manage dependencies for compilation)
7) open a shell on C:\wamp\www\red5-server
8) just type ant server (ant compile, server launch red5)
9) You can install samples demo via tha administration console http://localhost/RED5-server/webapps/installer/index.html
Good Luck :)
Max
