Please don't roll multiple features into a single patch. It makes
review more difficult.
Why don't you post these to reviewboard.kde.org?

forgot about that page.
ok, gonna use that for the code as soon as I can clean the patches,
and make one for each thing.

This seems like a rather obscure thing to want to do. The aim with
ksnapshot has always been to keep the UI very minimal and only cover
common cases. This means that a change to include a new option like
this is probably something I'd have to reject.

Why an option? Sounds like reasonable default behaviour to me...
I've just yesterday had this situation: I wanted to show a change in the UI, so I'd
snapshot, save the image, change the UI (press a button or something) and snapshot
again. I think it makes total sense to put the default selection rectangle at the
previous coordinates.

one downside of such an option is that saving is now spread out over multiple
control widgets; this will lead to cases where one saves a snapshot
accidentally to a folder because they previously selected this option and then
went on to work on something else. it essentially allows the user to create a
loop-hole in a "principle of least surprise" feature
is "ctrl-S, " really so bad as to deserve another option in the UI?

The widget doesn't indicate that it has a ctrl + s accelerator,
I just discovered because I read the code ;)
