Listmates,
I have been trying to figure out what is going on with kicker while compiz is
running on 4.3beta1. I have it set to autohide and it seems like the panel
just gets "stuck" hidden from time to time. I say stuck because when I move
the mouse to the bottom of the screen, I can see the panel "shadow" or "glow"
appear across the edge of the screen, but no matter how many times I bounce
the mouse against the bottom edge, the panel will not unhide.
Now when this occurs, if I deliberately change the focus to some other place,
like inside a window (kwrite, firefox, whatever), then the panel will unhide
like normal. So with compiz running, the "focus" gets lost or stuck somewhere
until it is force back to a known location.
Almost like the present focus location is stored in some array and somebody
is counting from 1 instead of zero and when the focus window is the zero
element, the panel is stuck and won't work. I don't know, that is just a wild
guess, but the focus is stuck somewhere that is preventing the panel from
unhiding.
Does anyone have any ideas about what to check on this one? Any body else
seeing it?
