Summary: Bejeweled Twist game crashes on closing
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2
Platform: x86
URL: http://www.popcap.com/games/bejeweledtwist
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org
ReportedBy: turbolad995@hotmail.co.uk

After playing the game, you exit by clicking "Quit game" and "OK", then you get
an error message from Wine about the program encountering a serious problem and
needs to close etc. and Wine freezes after that.
Sorry, but you can't download the game. If anyone has the disc, the good news
is that the game runs properly in Wine until you exit.
I've been told by the Ubuntu forum guys to run troublesome programs in Wine
using the terminal. Having just worked out how to do that, I've copied and
pasted the lines of weird error messages from the terminal and put them into a
text file. I've attached it to this bug report. This is my first attempt at
attaching terminal output for Wine - I hope it helps.

See the latter part of http://wiki.winehq.org/Backtraces which has an example
backtrace that shows more information, you may need to install a wine-dbg
package and produce the crash again, or failing that build from source.
Please also include your video card and driver version.

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS driver version 195.36.24
Sorry, I've only just worked out how to get terminal output and attach it.
This is all new to me. It would be easier for people like myself if Wine would
provide debug information for users to upload, similar to how Microsoft asks
users to click a button to send information to Microsoft when something goes
wrong in Windows XP.
It's taken me hours just to learn the basics of the terminal in Ubuntu. I've
been a Linux user for less than one year. I don't understand that page about
backtraces.

You make a good point, however it's unrelated to this bug - if you feel
strongly about it, you can file a separate bug report for that.
To get the correct information, you can try installing the wine-dbg package
using apt-get, then reproducing the crash, it should look slightly different
but contain more information.
